Mounted Archery is one example of connection to the point of unity. The rider is focused on sending the arrow to its target and has relinquished responsibility for maintaining direction and speed to the horse. It is unity achieved through mutual understanding, trust, and respect. This is one reason I have chosen it as the logo for Unity Horsemanship.

The other reason is that the level of unity with a horse that mounted archery represents is something that I aspire to. Another romantic notion perhaps, but one Delta and I are patiently working towards. He already knows his part and we are at the point where I trust him to carry me while I do my best to hit the target.

That last part is going to take a bit of work. 🙂
